In 2020 the Coronavirus had a huge impact on the live music industry and for the safety of everyone, whether you were a worker or an attendee, live concerts were forced to shut down.

Now, there is light at the end of the tunnel in the form of mitigation methods and vaccines.

However, what has transpired is that tours will NOT get insurance unless they have a dedicated Covid-19 Compliance Officer on the tour, and this is for the foreseeable future.

This newly designated position is responsible for establishing and enforcing COVID-19 safety protocols, training and awareness to all on the tour, liaising with the venues Covid-19 Compliance Officer, monitoring compliance in all backstage areas, disinfection, social distancing, CDC, NHS, local and state guidelines, and other information related to preventing the spread of infection, and in turn apply risk mitigation and reduce liability.

HSM LTD / LLC have taken the steps to certificate many of their team members as Covid-19 Compliance Officers and Contract Tracers.

Now, it is fair to say that there are now quite a few Covid-19 Compliance Officers on the scene, People who have seen an opportunity to make a quick buck. The problem with them is that they are people NOT from the touring industry and have no idea what a show day would entail…and that is our USP as HSM Covid-19 Compliance Officers have toured as Venue Tour Security for many years and totally understand the time restraints that are put on at Load in, sound checks, show running times and load out.
